Olivetti Studio was founded by Francesco Olivetti. Based between Milan and Rome. Francesco studied design at the Politecnico di Milano and graduated in 2020. He has never worked in one field at a time, and still draws and delivers the work himself. A single direction runs from the first sketch to the final file. Decisions are made early, then held.
A proportion, a material, a word, a line break. None of these are neutral to him. Each one is a decision, and the ones nobody notices are the ones holding the rest together. Ideas rarely belong to a single medium, so he follows them wherever they need to live.
The studio stays small on purpose. He works with people he already trusts, and their names stay on the work. Some projects have no client at all. That is where the thinking gets tested, before a brand has to carry it.
The name sets a standard, not a lineage. Olivetti as a compass: an idea of Italian design where function and emotion are inseparable, and where an everyday object deserves the same attention as an exceptional one.
Design is a form of attention. The way something is made, and the thinking behind it, reach people long before they can explain why.
One system, every surface. A brand, a website, an object are never separate disciplines. A system is a small set of decisions, made once, precise enough to hold wherever the work appears. Surfaces change. The system does not.
The work is finding the decisions that survive every translation, and removing everything that does not. What is left should feel inevitable, as if it could not have been arrived at any other way. Nothing is added to make the work look designed.
The ambition is the same on every project. The work carries a point of view, and it belongs entirely to the people it is made for, not to the studio that made it.
